Aloe Vera

Properties of Aloe Vera

Aloe vera and what it does for our body. This plant is like a cactus that grows in hot weather. Benefits of aloe vera are attributed to the polysaccharides in the gel of the leaf. Inside the alo leaf is clear and slippery, where the water is held in a viscous cellulose that stores carbohydrates and many minerals and vitamins, such as vitamin A, E, C, folate, vitamin B12, chromium, along with antioxidants that help fight free radicals. It also contains minerals like calcium, chromium, selenium, magnesium, manganese, potassium, sodium, and zinc to support your body’s everyday metabolic functions. Enzymes like alkaline phosphatase, amylase, catalase, peroxidase, and more in aloe help you break down sugars and fats, while bradykinase reduces inflammation on the skin.

Benefits of Aloe Vera

Aloe can be applied topically and can be injested to sooth your digestive system and help relieve symptoms of colitis, Chrones, acid reflux, ulcers and constipation. Aloe vera is very good for soothing psoriasis, excma and other skin issues, especially after sunburn. It moisturizes the skin and reduces inflammation. It helps reduce blood sugar levels, which makes it helpful for diabetics.

The leaf can help to purify the blood and the liver stimulates collagen production. This is how it keeps us looking young, because it sticks us all together and protects our artery walls from collapsing.

Collagen is a protein that forms the structure of our bones, tendons, ligaments, joints, blood vessels, skin and keeps our organs in place. If you want to use Aloe vera to reduce your wrinkles and maintain good levels of collagen you need to consume it twice a day if you are 40 years old or less and three times a day if you are over 40 years old.
